The III Summer School on Refugee Law will be organized by the UNHCR Office in the Republic of Belarus in Minsk in order to attract law students' interest in protecting refugee rights, as well as train young professionals who plan to work in the future in the field of human rights and humanitarian issues .
The Summer School will provide an overview of international legal protection standards for asylum seekers and refugees, the specifics of the refugee status determination procedure in the Republic of Belarus and the procedure in accordance with the UNHCR mandate, legal advice, as well as aspects of international and national regulation of statelessness.
Separate lectures will be given by UNHCR staff, representatives of government agencies, NGOs and invited lecturers of foreign universities. The summer school will be held in an interactive format, which involves the active participation of students.
Location: Minsk (can be changed due to the online format)

Requirements: Law students of Belarusian universities.

Costs: Organizers will cover the following costs: training materials, coffee breaks and lunches. Nonresident participants will be covered for travel to Minsk (in Belarus), food and accommodation.
