On the meeting of the Commission on the assessment of the results, which was held on 14th December 2020, the results of the Contest for undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students on the best research paper on the issues of refugees, migration, tolerance and statelessness were summed up. Evaluating 36 research papers of undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students representing 14 different Belarusian universities, which were submitted to the contest, the decision on winners were made.
18 December, 2020 the Award Ceremony of the Contest for the best research paper was held. Members of the Commission on the assessment of the results took the floor to celebrate the winners, to wish them further success in research field and to underline the importance and relevence of the deep understanding of contest's topics. Among them were Victor Shadursky, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Belarusian State University, Timofey Solodkov, Legal Adviser of the UNHCR Office in the Republic of Belarus, Andrey Selivanov, Executive Director of the INA "Evoluio".
During the Ceremony, winners were awarded with presents and diplomas.
The first-degree diploma was awarded to:
- Anastasia Rusak, 4th year student of the Faculty of International Relations Belarusian State University with the research paper “Legal regulation of the institution of deprivation of citizenship as a measure of state regulation in the fight against terrorism”;
- Bogdan Shnyp, master of the Faculty of International Relations Belarusian State University with the research paper “Legal implementation of the refugee integration policy within the European Union and its Member States: theoretical and practical aspects”;
- Stanislav Starostin, 4th year student of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology Baranavichy State University with the research paper “Structural model of upbringing tolerant attitude of Belarusian students as a way to successful adaptation of refugees in the Republic of Belarus”;
The second-degree diploma was awarded to:
- Nadezda Fedkovich, 1st year student of the Managerial Personnel Institute Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus with the research paper “Fundamental causes and consequences of statelessness”;
- Anton Borovikov, 4th year student of the Faculty of International Relations Belarusian State University with the research paper “The problem of statelessness in Estonia as one of the post-Soviet countries: history, features and solution”;
- Hristina Sinitskaya, 2nd year student of the Faculty of International Relations Belarusian State University with the research paper “UNHCR campaign #IBelong”;
The third-degree diploma was awarded to:
- Valeria Sereda, 3rd year student of the Faculty of Law Brest State A. S. Pushkin University with the research paper “To the question of the protection of rights of refugees in the context of the Treaty between the European Union and the Republic of Turkey”;
- Oksana Doroshina, 4th year student of the Faculty of International Relations Belarusian State University with the research paper “The Politics of multiculturalism: the modern «paradox of tolerance»”;
- Alexandra Togyleva, 2nd year student of the Faculty of Law Vitebsk State University named after P. M. Masherov with the research paper “Implementation of basic social rights by hosting States as a necessary criterion for socialization and adaptation of refugee and migrant children”;
- Ekaterina Kuznechik, post-graduate of the Faculty of Humanities Polotsk State University with the research paper “The literature of migrants of Germany as a phenomenon of ethnic and cultural interaction”;
- Karina Philipchenko, master of the Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogics Francisk Skorina Gomel State University with the research paper “The role of artistic and aesthetic expressiveness of architecture in the process of ethno-cultural adaptation”.
