Model of United Nations took place on 11-14 November at the Faculty of International Relations of the BSU. Faculty of International Relations Model United Nations (FIRMUN) is an event which is held twice a year: in autumn and spring. About one hundred students, who represent various universities of the Republic of Belarus and foreign countries’ universities, participate in the FIRMUN.

On October 29, 2015 the Section «Migration, Refugees and Tolerance Issues in Contemporary World» was held in the framework of the XIV International Scientific Conference «Belarus in Contemporary World». The event was conducted jointly by the UNHCR Office in the Republic of Belarus, the Faculty of International Relations of BSU and the International Non-governmental Association for Scientific Research, Information and Educational Programmes «Evolutio».
Today the press conference devoted to the situation with refugees in the world as well as in the Republic of Belarus took place Komsomolskaya Pravda v Belorussii». V. Shadurski, Chairman of the INA «Evolutio» Observation Board, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations of Belarus, Aleksey Begun, Head of the Department on Citizenship and Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, and Jean Yves Bouchardy, UNHCR Representative in the Republic of Belarus, were invited to participate in the event as experts in the area under discussion.

News of the recent weeks — refugees in Europe. People in European cities live between fear and mercy while expecting hundred thousands of guests. Expected and unexpected ones. Some countries close their borders, get fenced off. But people like water find other ways to arrive in the countries where they are seeking for better life. It is not a secret that, probably, some itineraries currently run across Belarus. And it is not a secret that many of them, probably, would like to remain on our land.
